Deira is Dubai’s oldest business district. It is bounded by the Arabian Gulf, Sharjah, and Dubai Creek.

The residential area here is well-known for providing flats for rent throughout the city. Port Saeed, Naif, Al Rigga, Muraqqabat, Abu Hail, and Riggat Al Buteen are some of the nearby residential areas.

Villas are few in the sub-communities of Abu Hail and Hor Al Anz. Because this is one of the oldest residential neighborhoods in Dubai, there are no freehold homes, therefore ex-pats cannot invest in Deira Dubai. This may change in the near future with the completion of the long-awaited Palm Deira development.

Deira is home to some of Dubai’s oldest landmarks, including the city’s oldest mall, Al Ghurair Centre, as well as the Heritage House and the Al Ahmadiya School.

This vast sector has also been updated, with a plethora of contemporary restaurants, hotels, and retail centers attracting both UAE residents and visitors.
