- Pay Rent Via Ejari Direct Debit
- FAQs
Trying to send post-dated cheques to landlords or their representatives to pay rent has long been a standard practice in Dubai. Tenants may now pay rent via Ejari direct debit, owing to a recent initiative by Dubai Land Department (DLD). Here’s an explanation of the rental payment procedure using Ejari direct debit.
HOW CAN I PAY MY RENT WITH EJARI DIRECT DEBIT?
In partnership with the UAE Central Bank, the Dubai Land Department (DLD) announced the initial proposal for direct debits in July 2022. Ejari is now completely integrated into the system, and tenants may make rental payments via Ejari via direct debit. All parties concerned will benefit from the Noqodi Ejari Direct Debit Service.
HOW WILL THIS SYSTEM OPERATE?
At the time of contract signing or renewal, landlords and tenants will mutually agree on a payment plan. According to the DLD manual, they will decide on periodic payments from the tenant’s accounts. This document also explains how to set up the Noqodi Ejari Direct Debit Service. Please keep in mind that tenants must complete an authorization form to receive instalment payments.
With the existing method, neither side may modify the dates after they have been agreed upon. This functionality may be added in the near future as part of a planned upgrade. You can choose how many payments will be made each year. You can, for example, set up the needed Dubai rent payment through direct debit in 2, 4, 6, or 12 installments.
FAQS ON HOW TO PAY RENT VIA EJARI DIRECT DEBIT
WHAT IF I MISS A PAYMENT DUE TO A LOW ACCOUNT BALANCE?
Three payment attempts will be made using Noqodi. If all three efforts fail, the tenants will be contacted. If the problem is not rectified, legal action or fines may be imposed.
CAN I USE CHEQUES TO PAY MY RENT?
You definitely can. Cheques, on the other hand, are set to be phased out in favor of direct debit payments for Dubai rent.
This ends our examination of Dubai rent payment through direct debit. This move will provide a smooth rent payment procedure for renters, landlords, and property management companies. If you are a tenant or a landlord, make sure you complete the correct Ejari direct debit payment for rent method, and you will be able to benefit from the system. You may register Ejari online if you are moving into a new home. Note that you must register co-occupants on Ejari in accordance with the most recent DLD requirements.
